Invacare's flagship bariatric scooter, the Comet Ultra has a weight capacity of 34 stone (220 kg) and an extra-wide seat of 26 inches. It is designed to take larger and heavier users, allowing them to drive with safety and stability, without compromising on style or performance.

The Comet Ultra features redesigned multi-adjustable suspension that can be individually set to the user's weight and driving style, offering superior comfort. The contoured seat, unique to the Ultra, has been designed in conjunction with therapists to maximise comfort and ensure the ideal seating position is maintained. Pneumatically adjustable lumbar support - not found on any other scooter - allows for further comfort adjustments. The armrests and seat base have been reinforced to allow them to be used as further support when getting on and off the scooter, and the armrests can be adjusted both in height and width.

Stability and safety are key to the design of the Ultra, which unlikely many other scooters, has been designed from the ground up by Invacare themselves. The rugged built allows it to cope with the increased demands placed upon it, while the reinforced seat column enhances stability. Further standout features from Invacare's premium Comet range are included, such as auto-speed reduction that ensures safe driving when turning at high-speeds. The Ultra also has Invacare's rubberised shroud material that is more resistant to impacts, reducing the chance of the scooter picking up dangerous cracks and sharp edges. The colour-impregnated black plastic also minimises the visibility of scratches.

Style and luxury are not compromised - the Ultra features Invacare's intuitive LCD display that provides all the information you need at a glance. A choice of classic colours of marble white, indian blue, jade green, diamond silver and jasper red are all available as standard, while the premium range of colours including carmine red, iconic chrome, electric blue, luxor beige and crystal copper are an optional extra. Further accessories can be supplied, such as a USB adaptor and mobile phone holder for convenient charging, and various storage options including the popular lockable storage box can be fitted.

With a top speed of 6 mph, the Comet Ultra has a hugely impressive range of up to 36 miles on a single charge, powered by twin 75 Ah batteries. It is backed up by Invacare's 2 year warranty (12 months on batteries), giving you the confidence that the Comet Ultra is a reliable performer that won't let you down.
