Insurance, Extended Warranty & Breakdown Cover
Extra protection for your mobility scooter or powerchair, helping give you greater reassurance at home and when you’re out and about.
Additional Peace of Mind
Mobility equipment can be a significant investment and, for many people, an important part of maintaining independence.
Through specialist mobility provider First Senior Insurance Services, additional protection may be available including mobility insurance, extended warranty cover and roadside recovery.
Three Types of Cover
1. Mobility Insurance
Protection against insured events such as accidental damage, fire, flood and theft, together with public liability protection subject to the policy selected.
2. Extended Warranty
Cover for qualifying unforeseen electrical and mechanical failures once the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
3. Roadside Recovery
Assistance if your mobility scooter or powerchair becomes immobilised while you’re away from home.
Protect Yourself & Your Equipment
Depending on the policy selected, mobility insurance can provide cover for a range of risks associated with owning and using your scooter or powered wheelchair.

✓ Public liability cover
✓ Temporary loan-equipment cover
✓ Carer liability where included
✓ Additional benefits depending on policy
The exact benefits, limits and exclusions depend on the policy purchased. Please refer to the current First Senior policy documentation before taking out cover.

✓ Electrical failure where covered
✓ Mechanical failure where covered

Important Warranty Conditions
Current First Senior extended warranty terms include eligibility conditions relating to the age of the product and when cover is purchased.
Used products may also need to have been serviced recently before warranty cover can commence. Always check the current policy wording for full eligibility requirements.

Roadside recovery is designed for mobility scooters and powerchairs and can provide assistance where your vehicle becomes immobilised.
✓ Electrical or mechanical breakdown
✓ Immobilisation following an accident
✓ Tyre puncture
✓ Flat battery
✓ Vandalism or attempted theft
✓ Recovery of you and your mobility product
✓ 24-hour, 7-day assistance subject to policy terms
New & Used Mobility Products
Cover may be available for both new and pre-owned mobility equipment, depending on the product, its age and the type of protection required.
Eligibility, waiting periods and servicing requirements may differ for pre-owned products, so always confirm the current terms before purchasing cover.
Have Your Product Details Ready
When arranging cover, you may need details including the make, model, value and serial number of your mobility product. The serial number is normally located on the product frame or identification label.
Please read the current policy documents before purchasing.
Cover, limits, exclusions, excesses, geographical restrictions and eligibility requirements vary by policy and can change. The policy documentation supplied by First Senior should always be treated as the definitive description of cover.
