Artemis II Dynamic Pressure Relief Mattress Systems - Advanced Pressure Care for Hospital & Residential Use

The Artemis II range offers a high-performance solution for dynamic pressure area care, combining intelligent features with multiple therapy options to enhance both patient outcomes and caregiver efficiency.

Designed for use in hospital wards, long-term care facilities, and other clinical settings, the Artemis II systems deliver effective and adaptable support for patients at risk of pressure injuries.

  • Therapy Modes for Personalised Care - The Artemis II mattress systems feature a variety of therapy modes to meet individual patient needs and clinical demands:
  • Alternating Therapy Mode - Provides active pressure relief in a 2-in-1 (AB) pattern, with selectable cycle times of 10, 15, or 20 minutes (default: 10 min), promoting regular redistribution and reducing tissue stress.
  • Constant Low Pressure (CLP) Mode - Delivers a consistent, reduced-pressure surface to enhance immersion and envelopment, ideal for patients who cannot tolerate alternating cycles.
  • Pulsation Mode - An advanced function within CLP mode that cyclically increases and decreases cell pressure by 30%, stimulating microcirculation and providing an added level of pressure variation.
  • Compliance & Safety - Built to meet the highest standards for clinical environments, the Artemis II mattress systems are fully compliant with:
  • EN 60601-1 – General safety for medical electrical equipment
  • EN 60601-1-2 – Electromagnetic compatibility
  • EN 60601-1-11 – Requirements for home and community healthcare use

Whether used in an acute care setting or a long-term residential environment, the Artemis II range offers the versatility, reliability, and comfort required for superior pressure management and patient care.

Advanced Pressure Care with Intelligent Features

The Artemis II is a clinically designed dynamic mattress system offering superior pressure relief and a range of automated functions to enhance patient safety and caregiver efficiency. Suitable for use in hospital, care home, or community settings, Artemis II supports patients at high risk of pressure injuries.

Key Features
Automatic Pressure Adjustment
The system continuously adjusts internal cell pressure based on the patient’s weight and position. Weight is rechecked every 60 minutes or if a significant change is detected.

Max Inflate Mode
Fully inflates all cells for up to 20 minutes to aid in repositioning or patient transfer.

Low Patient Weight Mode
Optimized support for patients under 40kg, reducing pressure for improved comfort and safety. (Clinical judgement and risk assessment advised.)

Comfort Control
Fine-tune pressure levels manually to ensure maximum comfort for each patient.

Auto Seat Mode
Automatically increases pressure by 10% when the bed backrest is raised above 25°, providing added sacral support.

Smart Surface Recognition
The pump detects whether it’s connected to an Artemis II mattress or compatible cushion (18" or 20") and adjusts settings accordingly.

Safety & Alerts

  • Egress Alert – Sounds an alert when the patient exits the bed.
  • Power Failure Warning – Visual and audible alert in the event of a power outage.
  • Service Reminder – Notifies users when a service is due (after 365 days/8,760 hours).
  • Mute Function – Silences alerts temporarily while the issue is investigated.
  • Auto Lockout – Locks control panel after 2 minutes to prevent accidental setting changes.
  • Quick Setup – Mattress inflates in under 30 minutes. Status is displayed on the pump’s LCD screen.
  • Rear Filter Access – For quick and easy maintenance.
  • Hanging Hooks – Secure the pump to the bed footboard when not in use.

Mattress Design & Construction

  • 23 Air Cells – Includes 3 static head cells, 20 alternating cells (8 with narrower heel zones for enhanced heel protection).
  • ‘Air-on-Air’ Cell Construction – The lower half of each cell remains inflated to prevent bottoming out and provide consistent support.
  • CPR Function – Easy-to-access dial at the footend enables rapid deflation during emergencies.
  • Transport Mode – Maintains support for up to 10 hours when disconnected from power, ideal for transfers or outages.

Premium Cover Features

  • Top Cover – Dartex® material that is multi-stretch, water-resistant, and vapour permeable.
  • Anti-Fungal Treated – Prevents microbial deterioration.
  • White Inner Liner – Helps identify damage or fluid ingress.
  • Cable Management – Bottom cover includes a system to reduce trip hazards.
  • 360° Zip & Welded Seams – Easy access for cleaning; protects against fluid ingress.

Installation & Compliance

8 Secure Straps – With D-rings to safely fix the mattress to adjustable bed frames.

Class IIa Medical Device – Certified and fully compliant with:

  • EN 60601-1
  • EN 60601-1-2
  • EN 60601-1-11
